THE SOLUTION IS LESS POLLUTION
At BBcino, we practise what we preach! We believe that small changes can make big differences and that the solution is less pollution. We’re incredibly passionate about teaching our younger generation about how they too, can make more environmentally conscious decisions!
But as they say; Monkey See, Monkey Do…So, we’re here to DO (do do doodoo doo doo Baby Shark, sorry sorry that automatically happens #mumlife)! Like I said, we’re here to do! We’re here to put our money where our mouth is! HOW?!
Firstly, our packaging! We use honeycomb paper instead of bubblewrap to protect your reusable babycino cup on its journey to you. Honeycomb paper is 100% recyclable, made from 100% recycled materials and biodegradable!
We also use compostable mailers when shipping your cup! Our mailers are made from organic materials that break down easily (nearly as easily as I do on non daycare days!) and leave no toxic chemicals or harmful particles behind! Not only that, they feature a second adhesive strip so that they can be reused again!
Other than the branding on our packaging (which are recyclable), we don’t include any other branding, such as stickers on our mailers or parcels. We understand branding is incredibly important but we made the decision that our environment is more important (MIC DROP!). Unfortunately a lot of stickers cannot be recycled and will pollute the recycling process. As thankful as we are to every single customer (and I mean this from the absolute bottom of my heart!), we also don’t include thank you notes or cards, as we know these ultimately just end up in the bin!
To ensure that we stay true to our values and what we as a business believe in, we spend an incredible amount of time researching materials and methods to ensure our products are as environmentally friendly as possible! This takes time, money and sometimes many, many samples! But we take pride in the fact that we would never release a product that goes against our business ethos!
Our straw cleaners are made using 100% natural coconut fibres, instead of micro plastic fibres. This means that our cleaners will naturally breakdown without harming the environment, which is more than I can say about my toddler! The cases in which we sell our straw bundles in, are made using wheat straw fibres, an eco-friendly alternative to plastic. Because they’re made from a lightweight and durable blend of polypropylene and wheat straw, our cases are biodegradable and won’t cause damage to the environment!
Moving forward, we will continue to put our money where our mouth is, and continue to only sell products that align with our values and beliefs! We want our products to represent change, to encourage and show our future little eco warriors that small changes can make big differences! We want to offer our kids the right tools to make more environmentally conscious choices, for a greener, more sustainable future! And we want you to join us!
