ABOUT ME
My name is El, a mamma of three with a passion for sustainability! I started dreaming, planning and researching BBcino when my first born was only one!
My son, Hennie and I were in the thick of our coffee/babycino adventures, when I noticed a need for a more environmentally conscious alternative to single use babycino cups... and that’s where our BBcino story begun!
I spent catnaps (IYKYK), late nights and any spare moment I had researching ideas, techniques, materials, manufactures and everything in between! During this, I discovered that over 16 billion single use cups end up in landfill YEARLY! This stat fuelled my fire even further, and 6 months later, I received my very first sample; the cutest little reusable, lightweight bamboo based keep cup, perfect for little hands!
After ensuring that our cups met every single up-to-date safety and quality guideline, including a very honest review from a very honest toddler, we were ready to place our very first bulk order!
During BBcino’s first year, my son and I packed orders together, delivered to local stockist together and of course continued to check the quality and durability of our cups together, by going for daily babycinos of course (Hey! somebody’s got to do the hard work!).
And as BBcino grew, so did my family; with a surprise twin pregnancy, we welcomed our boy/girl twins; Phlip and Zibie! And now I’m lucky enough to not only teach my three little babes about the importance of living a more sustainable lifestyle, but also your little ones! I wholeheartedly believe that together, we can raise our future little eco-warriors to protect, respect and love their environment! And all this whilst enjoying a babycino! CHEERS TO THAT!
